Get Started with Geneo
This tutorial will guide you step by step through the entire process from brand creation & positioning → selecting key issues → viewing reports. Just follow the steps, and you can quickly obtain the first AI visibility report of your brand on major AI platforms (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AIO, etc.).
The entire process is divided into 3 steps :

Step 1 Brand Creation & Positioning
Enter the brand website URL (yourbrand.com), click →, and the system will automatically analyze the brand description.
Directly confirm/fine-tune the target market & brand description parsed by Geneo.
Step 2 Select 5 prompts to be monitored

If you don't have a specific idea, you can also enter keywords , then click " Refine " to let Geneo automatically generate a complete question .
Click “Auto-fill Remaining,” and Geneo will automatically generate the remaining issues you want to monitor.
Step 3 View your AI Visibility Report
After completing Step 1, Geneo will generate an interpretation report containing 5 modules. Below, we will explain one by one what each module is telling you and what you should focus on.

How to understand
- The higher the score , the more likely AI is to mention/recommend you

Competitive Landscape
What to focus on
- Visibility ranking of your brand vs competing product
- Who is most frequently mentioned by AI in this field?
How to understand
- The longer the bar = the more frequently the brand appears in AI responses
- The screenshot shows that Profound (59), Semrush (52), and Ahrefs (45) are leading, while Geneo (15) ranks at the bottom
- Action Guide: Focus on researching top-ranked competing products—why does AI mention them more often?
Brand Visibility Analysis
What to focus on
- Brand Visibility%: the percentage of questions you are mentioned in all related issues
- Brand Mentions: Number ofAbsolute Mentions
How to understand
- 6.7% visibility + 1 mention in the screenshot indicates that the coverage is very limited
- Action Guide: Need to expand content coverage so that more issues can "trigger" mentions of you
Link Visibility Analysis
What to focus on
- Link Visibility %: The proportion of links to your website cited in AI responses
- Link References: Number of times the link has been cited
How to understand
- 6.7% + 1 citation in the screenshot, lower than most competing products
- Link citations are "authority signals"—AI tends to cite sources it deems trustworthy
- Action Guide: Enhance the "citable nature" of content (structured, data-driven, and case-based)
Improvement Suggestions
What to focus on
- Specific optimization directions provided by Geneo based on the above data
